AIRTANKER

To date four operators have selected the BAe 146/Avro RJ as the aircraft of choice for conversion to the airtanker role, with operations carried out in Canada, the United States and Australia.

* Note: due to the nature of aerial fire fighting missions, one flight cycle is typically equivalent to between four and seven flight cycles of 'normal flight'.

The BAe 146/Avro RJ Airtanker can meet the needs of aerial fire-fighters throughout the world, with established cost effective technology in the aircraft structure, avionics and systems. It offers benchmark performance and reliability at minimum cost.

The BAe 146/Avro RJ Airtanker meets or exceeds the United States Forest Service Type 1 air tanker requirement.
