    In 1993, carpenter Bill Whyte was outside banging nails in the dry and cold o the harsh New England winter. His

    ngers were severely cracked and chapped, and he needed relie. Bill went into his kitchen and used his long-standing

    knowledge o herbal medicine to mix up a batch o what later came to be known as Badger Healing Balm, Relie or

    Hardworking Hands. His ngers were healed and a business was born one that thrives today as a leader in natural

    skin care and now makes over 70 dierent custom ormulated products sold across the U.S., in Canada and in over 30

    other countries worldwide.

    The W.S. Badger Company is a amily owned and amily riendly business located on the banks o the Ashuelot River in

    rural Gilsum, N.H., a town o about 800 residents. Bill, along with his wie, Katie, and daughters Emily and Rebecca,

    ocially opened or business in the back room o their home in 1995. Badger now occupies a new 23,000-square-oot

    ecological oce and manuacturing acility designed by Bill, and employs over 50 ull- and part-time workers.

    Jentri Provenzano, product expert and educator, has been with Badgers marketing departmentsince 2008. She has been active in the natural products industry or more than 10 years. Jentrisknowledge, coupled with her passion or all things Badger, prompted her new role as product expert

    and educator. When shes not traveling around the country and training or Badger, she enjoys playin

    guitar and writing scores or short flms.

    Bill Whyte, ounder, CEO and Head Badger o the W.S. Badger Co., has been abookkeeper, cab driver, letter carrier, cook, carpenter, eco designer/builder and most

    recently a healthy business builder o the W.S. Badger Co. He grew the Gilsum, N.H.-based company rom a backroom dream into an internationally distributed product

    line with sales in places as diverse and distant as Singapore, the U.K., Taiwan, Australia

    and the Philippines. Bills current goals include being a good husband and ather,

    serious study o the martial art o aikido and doing some good in the world through

    the business o Badger.

    Rebecca Hamilton, director o product development, oversees new product innovation romconcept to market as well as Badgers sustainability initiatives, and serves as an industry expert anspokesperson. Rebeccas background in ethnobotany (B.S. in Economic Botany and Business, Universi

    o Massachusetts, 2006) and her passions or organic living, sae products and ethical commerce hav

    led her to wider industry involvement and public service outreach. She is actively involved in both sa

    cosmetics and beneft corporation legislation and serves as chair o the Natural Products Associatio
