TRANSCRIPT
Homelessness and hunger are no longer just
urban problems
Homelessness and hunger exists around the corners from our own neighborhoods
Homelessness and hunger is rising
most rapidly among families
and in the suburbs
The problem is most acute
among women with children
Families may be doubled up with another family . . .
. . . or living in a motel room
What would your family life look like if you were in a motel
room?
What would getting ready to go to
school look like if your family lived in
a motel room?
Doing homework and studying is a lot different than most of us are used to
Teens are among the fastest rising demographic for homelessness
Homeless and hungry children in suburban schools
blend in – they don’t want attention
