My Story about Going Back to School

K-2

I have been Learning from Home with my family. I will be going back to school soon, with my teachers and friends, one day per week. Some things will be the same. Some things will be different.

I will wear my school uniform. I can wear either winter or summer uniform.

My parents/carers will ‘Kiss and Drop’ me off quickly in the morning on Maple Playground.

I will see the wonderful teachers at school.5

I will do my learning activities at school.6

I will be learning in different classrooms at school.

I will be learning with different teachers and different friends from my sports house.

I will have my own set of pencils to use. If I am in Kindergarten, my teacher will give me a special pencil case. If I am in Year 1 or 2, I will bring my own pencil case with pencils, scissors and a glue stick.

I can reserve books from the Library online on Oliver. Mrs Chapman and Mrs Loftus will borrow the books for me and bring them to my classroom.

I will need to keep a safe distance from my teachers and friends in the classroom and the playground to stay healthy and safe.

I will stay in ‘my bubble’ and keep a safe distance away from my friends and teachers.

I will keep washing my hands with soap and water throughout the day. Sometimes I might use hand sanitiser.

I will bring my own fruit break and recess from home. I can bring my own lunch or have a lunch order online. I will wash my hands before I eat with soap and water.

I will play with my friends at recess and lunch in the playgrounds.

I will play different games in the playground at recess and lunch without equipment. Some games I could play include ‘What’s the time, Mr Wolf?’, statues, running races and ‘I Spy’.

I will use the K-2 toilets.17

The bubblers in the K-2 bathroom will be closed. I will bring in my drink bottle from home.

The teachers will tell me when it is time to meet my parents and carers. I will be picked up from Maple Playground in the afternoon or I will go to LAC. If I catch the bus, I will meet the teacher on duty at the Music Room. 19

My teachers and friends will be so happy to see me back at school! Our Principal, Ms Lockery, is looking forward to seeing everyone again.
