The Budget 　

Financial Secretary John Tsang announced the 2010-2011 Budget on 24 February. The three main objectives of the Budget include “Consolidating Recovery, Economic Development and Caring Society”.

After the Budget Speech was delivered, the Financial Secretary and several government officials gave explanations on the Budget and listened to the views of the public in several media programmes. The views and expectations of different sectors of the community are also expressed through various channels.

1. On which aspects of quality of life of the Hong Kong people does the 2010-2011 Budget focus?

2. What are the opinions of the different sectors of the community on the Budget? What aspects of quality of life are most emphasized by those opinions?

3. How does the government respond to the public’s opinions on the Budget?
