My warmest greetings to all the delegates, fellow Mechanical Engineers and distinguished guests in our 66th PSME National Convention on October 17-20, 2018.

Our theme “Engaging the Mechanical Engineers and Upholding the Profession Towards Excellence” will be our inspiration to enhance our profession and for us to be acknowledged, not just locally but globally. We must work as one, as we take the path towards becoming more competitive and competent Filipino Mechanical Engineers. Events such as this are not just a way of earning CPD points for license renewal, but it is really a great way

to broaden our knowledge and expand our horizon through our selected local and international technical presenters and exhibitors. They will present some of the proven and new technologies in our industry. It is also a great opportunity to expand your network, gain new friends and learn from each other on how to overcome challenges and succeed in our chosen field. We don’t just focus on mastering different concepts and ideas, but at the same time we choose to enjoy the camaraderie and technical exchange throughout the convention.

Let me take this opportunity to thank you and all the members of the 66th National Convention Committee who supported and contributed to make this event another success. Such initiative keeps our society in the right track to serve our beloved PSME members. May we all have a fruitful and enjoyable National Convention!

The PRC Board of Mechanical Engineering (BME) is inviting all Registered Mechanical Engineers, Professional Mechanical Engineers and Certified Plant Mechanics to attend the 66th PSME National Convention (66th NATCON) to be held on October 17 – 20, 2018 at the SMX Convention Center, MOA Complex, Pasay City under the leadership of PRC-BME duly recognized PSME National President Rogelio G. Reyes and Convention Chairman Engr. Leonardo M. Cometa.

The 66th NATCON is part of our celebration of the Mechanical Engineering Week which is scheduled every third (3rd) Week of October as declared in Presidential Proclamation No. 319 signed by then President Corazon C. Aquino. The BME is urging all Chapter Presidents and Officers to be present during the Dialogue with BME on the implementation of R.A. 8495 & RA 10912 especially that your Regulatory Board is emphasizing the importance of complying with and enforcing its provisions primarily to enhance public safety and competencies of mechanical engineers. We were informed that the line-up of technical seminars for this year is carefully selected in order to maximize learning in addition to the CPD credit units that will be earned by the delegates. We extend our congratulations to the Philippine Society of Mechanical Engineers for its hard work to bring the best convention to its members. Your BME is fully committed and enjoins all members of PSME to support this 66th PSME National Convention and likewise encourages you to share this invitation to your fellow Mechanical Engineers. The PRC-Board of Mechanical Engineering endorsed our 66th National Convention on October 17 to 20, 2018 with the theme “PSME: Engaging the Mechanical Engineers and Upholding the Profession Towards Excellence” . The theme encourages all of us to live up to the demands of the members and of the industry. In this year’s Natcon, we have lined up local and foreign experts to conduct technical seminars in different fields of specialization. We have also invited industry leaders and high

government officials to enable us to learn the different industries’ and the country’s current policies and strategic directions. Aside from the 8th PhilMach International Exhibition, delegates will also learn from our technical conferences: the 3rd Conference on Power & Renewable Energy (PSME PowerCon), the 2nd Conference on Fire Protection & Safety (PSME FireCon), the 2nd Plant Engineering & Maintenance Conference (PSME MaintCon and the MVAC/Re Conference.

As the only PRC-Accredited AIPO CPD Provider for Mechanical Engineering, PSME is giving all delegates the opportunity to earn CPD units from the targeted forty plus (40+) CPD technical seminars.
