• 926-106 Lion Brand Quick & Cozy Yarn: Gum Ball 3 (4, 4, 5) Balls

• Lion Brand Crochet Hook - Size P-15 • Large-Eye Blunt Needles (Set of 6) • Additional Materials

2 buttons, 7/8 in. (22 mm) diameter

GAUGE:

6 1/2 half double crochet stitches + 5 rows = 4 in. (10 cm). BE SURE TO CHECK YOURGAUGE. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified inthe pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes you lessstitches and rows to make a 4 in. [10 cm] square, try using a smaller size hook or needles;if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.

BACK

Chain 18 (19, 21, 22).Row 1: Work a half double crochet in the 3rd chain from hook and each chain across – 16 (17, 19, 20) half doublecrochet at the end of this row.Row 2: Chain 2 (for turning chain), turn. Work a half double crochet in each half double crochet across.Repeat Row 2 until piece measures 9 1/2 (10 1/2, 11 1/2, 13) in. (24 (26.5, 39, 33) cm) from beginning. Fasten off.

FRONTS (make 2)

Chain 12 (12, 13, 14).

Row 1: Work a half double crochet in the 3rd chain from hook and each chain across – 10 (10, 11, 12) half doublecrochet at the end of this row.Row 2: Chain 2, turn. Work a half double crochet in each half double crochet across.Repeat Row 2 until piece is the same length as the Back. Fasten off.

SLEEVES (make 2)

Chain 15 (17, 18, 20).Row 1: Work a half double crochet in the 3rd chain from hook and in each chain across – 13 (15, 16, 18) half doublecrochet at the end of this row.Row 2: Chain 2, turn. HOOD

Chain 26 (27, 29, 30).Row 1: Work a half double crochet in the 3rd chain from hook and in each chain across – 24 (25, 27, 28) half doublecrochet at the end of this row.Row 2: Chain 2, turn. Work a half double crochet in each half double crochet across.Repeat Row 2 until piece measures 6 (6 1/2, 7, 7 1/2) in. (15 (16.5, 18, 19) cm) from beginning. Fasten off, leavinga long tail.

FINISHINGSeam shoulders for 2 1/2 (2 1/2, 2 3/4, 3) in. (6.5 (6.5, 7, 7.5) cm) as shown on diagram; leaving 5 (5 1/2, 6, 6 1/2)in. (10 (14, 15, 16.5) cm) open for Back neck.Place markers 4 (4 1/2, 5, 5 1/2) in. (10 (11.5, 12.5, 14) cm) down from shoulders on Front and on Back. SewSleeves to Back and Front between markers. Fold Hood in half, bringing side edges together. Thread yarn tail intolarge-eyed needle and sew stitches of last row together for back seam. Sew Hood to neck edge. Sew on buttons.Use spaces between stitches for buttonholes. Weave in ends.
