i. Name of equipment :

a. Babuc A (MW8501-07/03)

ii. Equipment price in MYR (Malaysia Ringgit) :

a. Babuc A = MYR 40 000

iii. Function/purpose of equipment :

BABUC instruments is directly connected to sensors to measure : Temperature of the air, surfaces, liquids, flue gas, without contact and radiant source Relative humidity Atsmospheric and differential pressure Air speed Rotation Illumination Solar radiation Heat flow Gas concentration Noise pH

iv. Proper steps to use the equipment :

1. Firstly, place the instrument on a surface or on a stand using the special columns.

2. Then place the sensors in the measuring location. The sensors may be mounted on a stand or placed according to use. 3. Besides that, connect the sensors to the instrument, making sure that dedicated inputs are used for the correct type of sensors. The sensor connector is marked with an arrow and the connector must be fitted by turning the arrow toward the front of the instrument (If possible, use 220 V AC mains power supply).

4. After that, press the On/Off switch on the panel underneath the keyboard, and wait until the introductory screen comes up after the instrument has been initialised. Then press ENTER to go to the main menu. By selecting the various menu functions, it will display and initialisation parameters before beginning a survey. These parameters include: Survey: to set up and start a survey. Turning off: useful for memorising all data and measurements which have been obtained before the instrument is turned off with the On/Off switch. Archive management: controls availability, display and/or deletion of contents of the archive. Serial lines: checking and/or modification of communications parameters using serial transmission. Change Memocard: addition or removal of a memocard . Utilities: contains a scrolling menu of utility functions which are available and/or modifiable even during a survey. System: contains a scrolling menu of functions which can be programmed before a survey. 5. When it starts a survey, the instrument begins performing a continuous measurement cycle. Then turns on the power supply to probes with a separate power supply in advance, acquires the quantities configured with a sampling interval, checks whether these quantities fall within the acceptable limits that have been set, and linearises and engineers them, depending on which physical quantities are acquired. 6. During a survey, use the UTILITIES menu function to display and modify the date/time, beeper, keyboard and display off parameters. 7. Finally, stop taking measurements by selecting END OF SURVEY and confirm the selection. Before turning off the instrument (On/Off switch), carry out the turning off procedure by selecting the appropriate item in the menu and if this is not done, all the reports generated during the measurement session will be lost.
