It is important to be aware that if your school is outside of the OGP bundle, or is not already covered under a formal fixed- term contract with one of the Electricity Supply companies, then it is probable that your school is being charged at a ‘default’ rate, which will be higher than the rate you could be achieving within the OGP bundle. I contacted the Schools Procurement Unit over the summer break with regard to facilitating an e-tender

for our school’s Engineering room. From start to finish the communication was clear, precise and timely to

guide each member through the process. No matter the question, whether it was big or small, it was always dealt

with professionally and quickly which was incredibly important to us. I would highly praise the role the Schools Procurement Unit had to play in this process and we are

very grateful to them, in particular Fiona Coy. - Hansfield ETSS, Barnwell Road, Hansfield, Dublin

I could not recommend the Schools Procurement Unit highly enough. They

basically did all the work in terms of preparing a tender document for Catering

Services, and then provided excellent advice and guidance on the tenders

received.- Scoil Mhuire, Trim, Co Meath
