SPRING GARDEN

Ingredients:

• 1 ½ oz. Ketel One Citroen

• ½ oz. simple syrup

• ¾ oz. fresh lemon juice

• 2 oz. pressed apple juice

• 3 fresh raspberries

• 8 fresh mint leaves

Preparation:Combine all ingredients in amixing glass. Shake with iceand strain into a Collinsglass filled with ice. Garnish with a mint sprig and raspberry.

SLOW COOKER SPICY CHICKEN TACOS

Ingredients:

• 1.5 pounds raw boneless chicken breast

• One jar of SAAS Hot Sauce

• One package of wheat flour tortillas

• Chopped lettuce

• Chopped tomatoes

• Fiesta shredded cheese

• Avocado

• Sour Cream

Preparation:Add chicken and hot sauce to slow cooker. Stir well tocoat chicken with the sauce. Cook on low 5-7 hours.Once chicken is cooked, shred it. Mix shredded chickenwith leftover sauce coating all pieces. Top a tortillawith the toppings of your choice.

BLACK AND GINGER

Ingredients:

• 2 oz. Mount Gay Black Barrel Rum

• Ginger ale

• Angostura Bitters

Preparation:Pour rum into a rocks glass with ice, top with ginger ale andbitters and garnish with a lime wedge.

COCONUT BANANA FRENCH TOAST

Ingredients:

• 1 banana

• 1 cup milk

• 1 cup coconut milk

• 1 teaspoon vanilla

• ¼ teaspoon nutmeg

• ¼ teaspoon cinnamon

• 1½ teaspoons cornstarch

• ¼ teaspoon salt

• 12+ slices bread

• 2 tablespoons Carrington Farms coconut oil

Preparation:Heat griddle and brush with coconut oil. Blend remaining ingredients (except bread)in a blender until smooth. Pour into a shallow dish. Submerge each slice in mixtureand place on griddle. Cook until golden brown, then flip over to cook other side.Serve with maple syrup. Serves six; preparation time is 10 minutes.

THE POLLS ARE CLOSED and the votes have been “tail-ied." Meet Luca-Loo, Phoenix’s first dog mayor and

the winner of DOGTV’s “My Dog for Mayor!” — a 2014 national campaign to elect 100 dog mayors in 100

cities across the U.S.

It was a “hairy” competition, but as a result of the American cocker spaniel’s campaign manager’s

strong “pup-aganda” skills, she came out on top. A proud rescue pup, Luca wants to educate Phoenix about

the power of adoption with her campaign “Live long and adopt!” In addition to being elected dog mayor,

Luca-Loo will bark up a storm in her local “paw-litical” scene.

“It was a hard-fought campaign for all of our ‘canine-didates,’ many of which were neck-and-neck until

the final hours of voting,” said Gilad Neumann, CEO of DOGTV. “We hope that Luca-Loo uses her new dog

mayor title to help better her hometown for the good of all dog-kind.”
