Shodhan therapy Biopurification or Elimination treatment is known as Panchkarma therapy. This is a recognized as a therapeutic procedure.

This therapy cleans the body tissues (shroto shodhan). It brings about the harmony of Three Dosh. With administration of this therapy vitiated Doshas are removed from the body. It gives the long lasting benefits in the body. Shodhan therapy is a management of the individuals which promotes and preserves the normal health for long time.

Vaman (therapeutic emesis), Virechan (therapeutic purgation), Anuvasan basti (medicated enemata oil base), Asthapan basti (medicated enemata decoction base) , Nasya (Errhines therapy) , Raktamoxan (blood letting therapy) are the main procedure of Panch karma.

Before administering the main procedure Purva karma (pre procedure regimen) is advocated. Snehan karma (Oleation therapy) and Swedan karma (Sudation therapy) is Purva karma of Panch karma.

SNEHAN KARMA

Snehan karma makes the vitiated Dosh easily extractable from the body and creates microcirculatory channels lubricated and Dosh can easily come out of the body. Snehan is of two type. 1. Internal and 2. External. This procedure is useful in diseases related to Vaata, Joint pain, to increase weight, insomnia and for aging process.

SWEDAN KARMA

Swedan karma induction of sweat in the body and helps in melting the vitiated Dosh and are expelled out of the body through lubricated microcirculatory channels. This procedure is useful in the diseases related to Vaata, and Joints

VAMAN KARAM

Vaman karma is a therapeutic vomiting. This procedure is indicated for purification of thoracic region of the body. This procedure to eliminate vitiated Kapha Dosh through oral route. This procedure is useful in Kapha related diseases like Asthmatic condition , Allergic rhinitis, Skin related diseases like Psoriasis, Eczema, Acne, Urticaria. This procedure is also useful in abdominal diseases.

VIRECHAN KARMA

Virechan karma is a therapeutic purgation. This procedure removes Pitta Dosh from abdominal region of the body through anal route. This procedure is useful in Acid peptic disorders, Constipation, Obesity, Oligospermia, Chronic fever, Asthmatic condition , Allergic rhinitis, Skin related diseases like Psoriasis, Eczema, Acne, Urticaria. This procedure is also useful in abdominal diseases.

BASTI KARMA

Basti karma is a therapeutic enemata. Basti karma is administered through various routes like rectum, vagina and urethra. Basti is administered with herbal decoctions with oil or without oil. Basti eliminates Vaata Dosh. This procedure is useful in Osteoarthritis, Rheumatoid arthritis, Paralysis, Sciatica, Spine related diseases, Chronic dysentery, Ulcer, Constipation and Male & female Infertility.

NASYA KARMA

Nasya karma means required medicines administered through nasal passage. It may be administered in liquid, powder or vapor form. This procedure if specially indicated for ENT disorders and disease of oral cavity. This procedure is useful in Migraine, Chronic headache, Allergic rhinitis, Sinusitis, Facial palsy, Trigeminal neuralgia, Epilepsy, Insomnia, Mental stress.

RAKTAMOXAN

Raktamoxan karma means the procedure of blood letting for therapeutic purpose. It eliminates the vitiated Dosh from the body. This procedure is useful Skin disorders, Vitiligo, Alopecia, Hair falling, Premature graying of hair,

DHARA KARMA

Shiro dhara is a procedure for Cerebrovascular disease, Cerebral palsy, Insomnia, Cervical Spondylitis, Anxiety neurosis, head & hair related diseases, Migraine, Vertigo, Hemiplagia, Paraplegia, Hyper tension and diseases related to nervous system.

KATI BASTI AND PRUSTHA BASTI

Kati basti and prustha basti is a procedure to treat spine related diseases. This procedure helps to relieve Neuro muscular disorders, Lumbo sacral pain,and spondylosis, Herniation and degenerative changes of disc and spine.

JANU BASTI

Janubasti is a procedure for degenerative changes of the knee joint, Knee joint pain, Osteoarthritis, fractures and dislocations.

BIDALAK

Bidalak is a beauty related treatment. This is a procedure to treat Acne vagaries, Black spots. Wrinkles of the face etc.
