Axle Bearings
Axle Bearings
Engineers have developed in the recent years
a specific production program to optimize bearing
performance for the heavily loaded 'Trailer Axle and
Tractor Wheel End' applications.
The Tapered Roller Bearings which are used
in the 'Trailer Axle and Tractor Wheel End' application
are produced according to an 'Uniform Internal
Geometry' which ensures a perfect match every time
when the cups, cones and rollers are in contact with
each other.
Thanks to the expertise of in the field of
bearing steel, we select always the right bearing
materials that meet the demanding 'Trailer Axle and
Tractor Wheel End' application requirements and help
extend bearing life.
Production
All large size Tapered Roller Bearings are
going through the case-carburizing process to
produce a hard, fatigue-resistant surface and a tough,
crack-resistant core. The microstructure and
the material composition play a significant role in
enhancing bearing life. The retained austenite process
during the production optimizes surface hardness and
improves surface ductility, which results in better
rolling- contact fatigue life resistant Tapered Roller
Bearings.

ConeLoad carrying capacity in both directionsThe Cones can be in "O" back-to-back or "X" face-to-face arrangements; the optimum axial play in the two bearings is adjusted after mounting.
RollersConvexity and alignment with the cone ensures smooth rolling motion, created by the “seating force” that pushesthe rollers against the cone. This seating force prevents the rollers and the cone from wear and flaking during operation.
Cage cages are produced from pressed steel. For large size and heavy engineering applications, the steel pin-type cage with more and longer rollers and case hardened carburizing alloy steels are considered.
