Icelanders produce lot of our products on our own. For example we have these

categories

Milk products Meat products Vegetables Fish products Water

Milk products Production of milk in Iceland takes place

in the south and north coast of Iceland Example of Icelandic milk products are

milk, cheese and yogurt Price of one kilogram of Icelandic cheese

is 1498 Icelandic krona. But the kilogram price on Norwegian cheese is 1619 Icelandic krona.

One liter of Icelandic milk costs 126 krona, but Norwegian is 274 Icelandic krona.

Milk products Us Icelanders could easily live on our own

production of milk products. We almost do not import any milk

products but we do though import small amount of cheese from Europe.

Therefore I would say that we are sustainable for milk products.

Meat products Productivity of Icelandic meat takes place

all over Iceland. Example of meat us Icelanders produce

are pork, beef, chicken and lamb Kilogram price of Icelandic beef-fille is

4398 Icelandic krona. But kilogram price of Norwegian beef-fille is 3760 Icelandic krona.

Whole Icelandic chicken costs 859 krona per kilogram, but Norwegian whole chicken costs 263 per kilogram

Meat products Us Icelanders import that much of meat

that we could not live on our own production of meat except for lamb

We import a lot of chicken, pork and beef. Therefore i would say that we are not

sustainable for meat products

Vegetables Productin of Icelandic vegetables

mostly takes part in south coast of Iceland.

Example of vegetables which Icelanders produce are paprika, carrots, cabbage, cucumbers.

Kilogram price of Icelandic carrots is 598 Icelandic krona but of American carrots the kilogram price is 60 Icelandic krona.

Vegetables We could probably not live on our

own production of vegetables. We import a lot of vegetables, but

mostly from Europe and America. Therefore I would say that Iceland

is not sustainable for vegetables.

Fish products Production or working of fish mostly takes

part in south coast of Iceland Example of fish that we in Iceland

produce or work are macerel, cod and salmon.

Kilogram price of Icelandic salmon is 2298 Icelandic krona but the kilogram price of American is 918 Icelandic krona.

Kilogram price of Icelandic cod is 1079 Icelandic krona but the kilogram price of American cod is 1424 Icelandic krona.

Fish products Iceland could easily live on our

own production or working of fish because we do almost import no fish at all, we fish it our self.

Therefore i would say that Iceland is sustainable for fish production.

Water Iceland has probably the best

resources of water you can find in the world.

In most of countries in the world you can only drink water from water bottles, but in Iceland you can drink it straight away from the water crane.

Water Iceland can easily live on our

own production of water Therefore I would say that

Iceland is probably the most sustainable country in the world for water.

Overall

Overall I would say that Iceland is not sustainable enough to live on our own products only.

Thank you
