1 Installation of AX3000

What you should read before installation:

-Hardware and Software requirements for the operation and installation of AX3000

1.1 Hardware and Software requirements for operation andinstallation of AX-3000

The following requirements must be fullfilled prior to installing and operatingAX3000:

-Hardware requirements

-Software requirements

1.1.1 Hardware requirements

Recommended equipment:

-Pentium IV 2,6 GHz , AMD Athlon 2,0 GHz or higher

-1024 MB RAM recommended

-400MB free hard drive memory

-CD-ROM drive mechanism

-Min. resolution 1280 x 1024

-3-button mouse

1.1.2 Software requirements

AX3000 is useable with the following operating systems:

-Windows XP Professional / Home SP1

-Windows 2000 SP4

-recommend text height 96 dpi

AX3000 ist useable with the following Autocad Version:

AutoCAD Version 2004, 2005(also LT) and 2006 (also LT)

1.2 Update: Important information for an Update

An Update from older versions is possible without any problems.

ATTENTION!In order to prevent overwriting, changes to the main data in file %\k_data\should be saved before an update is installed.

1.3 Installation procedure/Setup

Installing the AX3000 - AutoCAD application in 3 steps:

- Installing DIALUX

-Installing AX3000

-Authorization of AX3000

ATTENTION!DIALUX should only be used with the electrical module purchase, and thenbe installed prior to installing AX3000, because an environment variablewill be automatically placed.Should DIALUX not be installed at this time, an environment variable mustbe placed manually.

1.3.1 DIALUX Setup

DIALUX is high-performance light calculation program.A compatible setup is found on the AX3000 installation CD.

The most current setup can be downloaded at www.dial.de .Should DIALUX 2.5 or higher already be installed on your computer, a newinstallation is not necessary.

1.3.2 AX3000 Setup

To install AX3000, perform the following steps:

1. Start Setup.

Select a language and confirm with 'OK'.

2. If more than one AutoCAD version has been installed, select the version,where the new attachment is to be installed.

Confirm with 'OK'.

3. The Installation Assistant is opened.

Confirm with 'Next'.

4. Read the License Agreement.

Confirm the License Agreement by activating the checkboxan click onto next.

5. Select the components to be installed. Standard:Installs the program version including the main data.MDAC (Access):Installs the Microsoft Data Access Components.These components are necessary for using the data banks.




6. Select the installation path to be used for program files and main data.

With the function 'search', the register can be found by means of theExplorer.

Confirm with 'OK' and 'Install'.

7. The installation is started.

The Microsoft Data Access Components will be now installied.8. The Installation is completed.

Confirm with 'Finish'.



9. After the first application Pop-up, enter the command 'AX3000', in order toactivate the AX functions.

Confirm with 'OK'.

1.3.2.1 MDAC (Access)

The Microsoft Data Access Components (MDAC) are necessary in using the data banks.

Should this information appear, the MDAC are already installed on yourcomputer and a new installation isn't necessary.

Select 'cancel'.If the MDAC components are not part of your operating system, use thefollowing steps.

1. Read the End-User Agreement. Because you are now installing Microsoft components, ESS cannot issue any warranty whatsoever for it's use.

Confirm with 'Finish'.

5. The installation is complete.

Confirm with 'Close'.

1.3.3 Authorization

After installing AX3000, it is necessary to receive authorization of use. Therefore, start now AX3000 AutoCAD.

Activate the function License ( ) in the General Toolbar .



The following License alternatives are available:

Client-License Licensing as local workplaceServer License Installation with "flying license"USB-License Licensing as portable License per USB Common HardDriveTemporary License fixed-time duration License

Authorization can be received per telephone, per E-Mail, per Telefax or perMail. Address fo requesting a License:

1.3.3.1 Client-License

Fill in the Client-License window with the received Licenses.

1.3.3.2 Server-License

1. Create a directory which should be used at license directory.Share this directory with the share name: "K_2000_LIC".ATTENTION!The useage of the authorization name "K_2000_LIC" is mandatory!All workplace computers must have read and write access to this directory.

2. Start the function License Code on a workplace computer.

3. Activate the function 'Server-License' and select the server.The Server-Key appears.



4. With this Server-Key, the License file can be generated. Now copy it in the shared directory "K_2000_LIC".

1.3.3.3 USB-License

Die USB-License is a portable license.Any USB-Stick can operate as an USB-License.

1. First, create the directory 'K_2000_LIC' on the stick, which will be used as licensedirectory.

ATTENTION!The usage of the authorization name "K_2000_LIC" is mandatory!All workplace computers must have read and write access to this directory.

2. Start the function License Code on any authorized computer.

3. Activate the function 'USB-License' and select the drive which contains the USBlicense.The USB-Key appears.

4. Now copy the License Data in the directory "K_2000_LIC" on the USB-Stick.

ATTENTION!By formatting the USB-stick or unlawful License Manipulation of the USB-licensethe USB key will be changed thus refusing Program access.

1.3.3.4 Temporary License

The Temporary License is a license type where the License is purchased for a selectedtime duration.

ATTENTION!After expiration of time, or unauthorized manipulation of the temporarylicense, the PC-Code will be automatically changed and the program willbecome unuseable.

If the temporary license will be replaced witha permanent license, thefunction 'Cancel Temporary License' has to be executed.
