commit at least one (1) hour
of personal study everyday.
Meetings shall be done at least
twice a week, with at least two
(2) hours per session covering
both cognitive and psychomo-
tor skills training.
AWSA is confident that the
therapist-students shall pass
the exams like a breeze be-
cause it has a wide array of
training materials such as: 1)
its original English-Filipino
Complete Reference Manual
and assorted audio-video CD/
DVD training materials and
its dedicated and highly pro-
fessional training staff.
This special program shall be
implemented in Quezon Cityand its enrolment is on-going.
Quezon City is one of the
key cities in the metropolis
that shall be affected by the
massive Skyway Stage 3
Construction Project.
According to MMDAChief Francis Tolentino,
"This is a construction of
massive proportion that
would last 32 months.
Building this alternative
highway is expected to cre-
ate traffic problems so eve-
ryone should make adjust-
ments.
The livelihood of massage
therapists shall be directly
hit by this recent develop-ment. This is true especially
among those who want to
beat the Department of
Health (DOH) deadline for
application for massage
license (Administrative
Order 2010-0034).
Thus, Asian Wellness and
Spa Academy wasted no
time to come up with a
doable strategy that shall
assist massage therapists to
undergo required training
and equipping for said
exams.
Dubbed as the special
Intensive Spa CMT
(Coursework on Massage
Therapy) Training Program
otherwise known as
ISCMT, it is designed not
only to make the training
more affordable but it shall
make the school closer to
where the therapists are.
Under the ISCMT, the

Asian Wellness and Spa
Academy (AWSA) is
pleased to announce its
three (3)-pronged approach
to the DOH Massage Li-
censure Examinations, as
follows: 1) Regular Course-
work on Massage Therapy
(RCMT); 2) Blended
Coursework on Massage
Therapy (BCMT); 3) In-
tensive Spa Coursework on
Massage Therapy (ISCMT).
The RCMT shall provide
instructions within the four
-corners of the classroom.
The BCMT is designed to
answer to the need for
students more flexibility in
learning due to constraints
such as time and distance.
Whereas the ISCMT is
especially designed for
Quezon City residents only.
The strategy towards DOHmassage exams may vary
but its total required time
for training on each is the
same. Every student must
have at least two hundred
eighty-six (286) study and
training time, both on
classroom and home set-
tings.
Up for development is the
Online Coursework on Mas-
sage Therapy (OCMT) aimed
at catering to Overseas Fili-
pino Workers (OFW).
The Department of Health,
the office that regulates mas-sage practice in the country,
employs high training criteria
amongst licensure-hopefuls.
This is primarily to help
protect the public from un-
scrupulous massage prac-
tices, according to Dr Jose-
phine Hipolito of the DOH
Committee of Examiners for
Massage Therapy.

ng exams passers ay kumuha din
ng kaukulang TESDA NC2 on
Swedish massage or Hilot.

DOH eksamin.
Katotohanan: Ang eksamin para
sa DOH ay sinadyang gawin para
sa mga nasa High School. Katu-
nayan ang ginagamit na Refer-
ence Manual ay 177 na pahina
lamang.
Dagdag pa dito, noong Decem-
ber 2012 eksamin halos 100%
ang pumasa sa praktikal na eksa-
min ng DOH.

natapos ay nag-
ing Top-
notcher. Ang
pangalan niya ay Francisco Grim-
pula Jr (nasa larawan), na taga
AWSA, isa siya sa mga nagkamit
ng Top # 5 sa higit kumulang na
800 na kumuha ng eksamin.
