PTSA Thank you to everyone who sent in baked goods for the PTSA Cafe at our last
home football game. We were grateful for your support so that we could offer free
hospitality to the Tabb community during this difficult time.
Congratulations to the class of 2022 for winning $200 from the PTSA in the student
membership contest. For those students who have joined, but not received their
class sticker, we will be working to get those passed out over the next couple of
weeks.
Our Bruton Teachers/Staff and Administration have earned an “A,” with over 90%
membership, and will be rewarded with a special treat at their next staff meeting
on November 11th. Keep an eye out for a sign-up of items we may need sent in.
We are thrilled to have 301 PTSA members so far this school year! If you would like
to help see this number grow you can join here: https://bhs-

Our next PTSA meeting is Wednesday November 20th @5:30! Mark your
calendars and join us!
PTSA APPLICATION
York County School Division Community Service Program
The York County School Division recognizes students who perform 150 or more hours of community service during grades 9-12. Students who transfer into the York County School Division the summer before or anytime during grades 10-12 will be required to complete a prorated number of hours.
Community service activities are those activities that students perform to benefit at least one other unrelated person for which they receive no compensation or academic credit. Students will work under the auspices of an organization, government, school, non-profit, hospital, nursing home, religious organization, or shelter. Services to benefit for profit businesses will not be applied to this requirement. Students who successfully complete the Community Service Program are recognized with the Community Service Seal on their diplomas. Hours earned as part of the Community Service Program must be documented on the Community Service Log and turned in to your counselor and no later than April 15th of your senior year. Students are responsible for identifying a supervisor for each community service activity. Supervisors must verify earned hours by signing the Community Service Log and providing the contact information.
Community Service Logs are available in the counseling office and on the Bruton HS Webpage under the top tab ABOUT/ School Counseling /Community Service Information.
