PROGRAM FACT SHEETWELDING TECHNOLOGY

The Welding Technol-ogy curriculum provides students with a sound understanding of the science, technology and applications essential for successful employ-ment in the welding and metal industry.
Instruction includes con-sumable and non-consum-able electrode welding and cutting processes. Cours-es in math, blueprint read-ing, metallurgy, welding inspection, and destructive and non-destructive testing provide the student with industry-standard skills developed through class-room training and practical application.
Successful graduates of the Welding Technol-ogy curriculum may be employed as entry-level technicians in welding and metalworking in-dustries. Career op-portunities also exist
in construction, manufacturing, fabrication, sales, quality control, supervision, and welding-related self-employment.
