To be ready to receive Christ’s birth and gift of life, we must become more aware, more conscious, more discerning, and more expectant. This quiet

day is an invitation to begin Advent by exploring those themes of awareness, recognition, and discernment within the context of our world and within ourselves. The use of story, image, silence, and music will be

means for that endeavor. Thus, may we become better prepared to behold and to receive the Christ born among us now.
