Dear Members/Donors/Well Wishers,
Iwould like to wish you all and pray for the wellbeing and prosperity of all families on the occasion of festival of lights - DEEPAVALI.
During the month of November 2019, our AVOPA will be completing 49 years and racing towards Golden Jubilee year. AVOPA Bengaluru is having highest number of members among all AVOPAs in India and also prominent in conducting several activities for the members and the community. In the initial years, conducting Annual General Meeting was only the prominent activity but later expanded its activity profile over the years. As of now, AVOPA-Bengaluru is organizing about twenty programs every year. This was possible due to the vision and efforts of the successive leaders of AVOPA and the Members in all these years.
During Golden Jubilee year in 2020, we are planning to involve more and more members in various activities. I request and urge each and every member to join hands to make the Golden Jubilee year a meaningful, eventful and memorable year. I also desire that with the involvement of our members, our programs can be made viewable on social media like - YouTube, facebook etc.,
We are very happy to mention that FOUR eminent persons of our great community have been nominated to various Committees and Organizations of the Government by Government of Karnataka, as noted below:

During December 2019 there is a proposal to have an interaction with Brigade group and our members to promote their projects through AVOPA, Bengaluru.

From the AVOPA Teacher's committee, Career counseling program was organised successfully on Sunday, 29.09.2019, at Sri Manandi Nanjunda setty
Sabhangana in Vasavi hostel premises. The chairman, Dr Ravi Shankar KG briefed about the activities of the subcommittee. The function commenced with Kum. Prakruthi's invocation. Shri TK Thimmaraja Setty, in his welcome speech spoke about AVOPA's activities in detail. Dr. Naganandini spoke about “Career Counseling Programme”. Shri Rajendra Prasad, President of AVOPA invited everyone to become members of AVOPA and to actively participate in the growth of AVOPA & also about the existence of AVOPA since 1970.
Dr MS Nagaraja Gupta introduced the three counselors Dr Venkatesh KL, Dr Nagesha G and Smt. Shruthi MS respectively. Dr Venkatesh KL the students & the parents on how to choose the is career and about the various courses available in the science stream. Dr Nagesha G
Report on Career Counseling Programspoke about the options in Arts, Legal and Civil services as a career. Smt. Shruthi MS underlined the importance of Commerce stream and various options available in Management courses and how to do concurrent (studying more than one course at the same period of study) courses. Speakers were felicitated by the President, General Secretary, vice presidents and the office bearers.
There was active participation by the students and parents during the Question & Answer session with satisfactory doubts clarification by the counselors. Some of the parents also explained about the courses in the fields of Astrophysics, Astronomy etc., Dr Sudha TG proposed the Vote of Thanks. The parents and the students enjoyed the sumptuous refreshments and also had a chance for an one to one discussion with the counselors at the same time.
The feedback from Students is encouraging us to do more such program in future.

Engineers day was celebrated on 13.10.2019.. The Engineers' Day celebration started with invocation song on Annamayya by Smt Uma Ramesh and party. The songs were beautifully rendered and the same
was appreciated by the audience.
The audience, Guest of Honor and Chief Guests were welcomed by general secretary, Sri.T.K.Thimmaraja Setty, who briefed the audience about the activities of AVOPA, from its inception to present and lauded the excellent work done by the past presidents.
The Chairman of AVOPA Engineers Commit tee and Organ is ing Secretary Sri Badarinarayana Babu explained the aims and objectives of starting the Engineers' Committee.

This month's Monthly Lecture Programme was held on 6th Oct 2019.The topic “Introduction to Cloud” delivered by Sri Raghavendra Anantha, CRM Solutions Architect was very well received. Sri T.K. Thimmaraja Setty, General Secretary, AVOPA welcomed the Speaker and the gathering. The speaker explained the participants in a very effective way about -The Cloud, Private cloud, Public cloud, Hybrid cloud, Software as a Service, Platform as a Service and Infrastructure as a Service with examples. The participants were actively involved in understanding the topic and were interacting with the speaker to seek more and more information on the topic.
