most common ones are the long shots which are used to show you the landscape and amazing places that he is visiting whereas the close up shots are meant to convey his emotions and facial expressions that occur because of these amazing landscapes and places shown in these long shots.

• The camera work throughout this video is performed by millions of different pieces of equipment, from cranes to hand held steady cams.

Technical Codes: Editing• A fast montage of shots is constantly being played and makes

up the bulk of this video. The video is meant to show as many amazing activities, places and events around the world and therefore the fast montage of shots has been specifically put together to meet the fast pace of the song. Each different part of the montage shows something completely different from the previous part.

• There are no transitions in this music video, for the same reason there are non in Bon Jovis’ Livin’ on a prayer. The music is fast paced and quite sharp when the beat changes. To match this the music video also needs to be sharp when the frames change.

The mise en scene of this video shows many different things but always conveys a positive and upbeat atmosphere which matches the lyrics and beat of the song. It is usually light and vibrant, but when it is not, then there is something else that lightens up the mood of the video like someone smiling or laughing. Having this constant flow of positivity shown throughout this video gives a very warming and exciting feeling to the audience making them wanting to do what he is doing and in most cases very envious.
