Continuous lubrication systems for WTGs fromGE® (1.5 MW), Vestas® (V52, V80, V90) and Gamesa® (G5x, G8x).

Grease in all the right places.

Smooth operator. Yaw pinion wear can cause a lot of headaches. That is why we

developed an automatic lubrication system for an otherwise high-maintenance component: the yaw gear ring. We install a central lubrication pump and a grease container in the nacelle of WTGs made by GE®, Vestas® and Gamesa®.

The automatic yaw lubrication system has two lubricating pinions for GE® and for Vestas® and Gamesa MW-class WTGs, and one lubricating pinion for Vestas® and Gamesa® in the KW class. And whether you have one or two lubricating pinions, all our continuous lubrication systems off er many benefi ts.

Automatic lubrication virtually eliminates theneed to manually lubricate the drive pinion in theyaw system during semi-annual maintenance. W E L I S T E N .

Benefi ts and features of

continuous lubrication systems:

• Automatic and reliable lubrication of moving

mechanical parts

• Avoid excess lubrication

• Combat wear and corrosion

• Eliminate unnecessary steps in regular maintenance

• Increase operational reliability while minimizing

maintenance and repairs

• Only need to change grease cartridges

once a year

Whether it is open gears, planetary gears, or roller bearings – the moveable, mechanical components of your WTG do most of the work to ensure a high energy yield. One more reason to look after them using the latest technology and optimum continuity.

Where manual lubrication reaches its natural limit, the eff ectiveness of our permanent lubrication systems commences. A perfectly even lubricating fi lm – and thus the prevention of excess lubrication – is something that cannot be achieved even by the most experienced engineer. But it is precisely these two advantages that positively aff ect corrosion protection, wear, and thus operating effi ciency.

Increase reliability, reduce maintenance work.An automatic and consistently reliable supply of lubricant to components increases the operational reliability of your WTG. Simultaniously, our continuous lubrication systems reduces the work required during regular maintenance. Only the greasecar tridges have to be replaced once a year – ideally in four places in your WTG. Because we have developed systems for up to four components:

Making excess lubrication a thing of the past.

The illustration on the left shows the automatic pitch-gear lubrication. A polyurethane pinion supplies the drive gear with a thin, constant lubricating fi lm. Manual lubrication is a thing of the past.

The above illustration shows our permanent lubrication for generator bearings. A battery-operated mechanical system

injects the grease under pressure into the respective bearing.
