Section: D1 Page:1 1) General Description 1.1 Mobile Video Centers,AV Carts, and Conference Room Consoles. See Appendixes “A” and “B” for typical styles and measurements. 1.2 The contractor shall supply an appropriate model which supports the specified size monitor and the appropriate amount of audiovisual electronics. 1.3 All models shall have a system of casters or wheels for easy mobility. 1.4 All enclosed models shall have doors that swing out of the way for easy access and come with a locking system. 1.5 Metal carts shall be constructed of 14 gauge (.074") sheet metal corner posts and 20 gauge (.035") shelves and be capable of assembly without special tools with no welding required. 1.6 Metal carts shall have a choice of models with predesigned shelf heights and configurations. 1.7 Conference room consoles will offer shelves that adjust on 1-1/4" increments and feature pilot holes for pullout shelves and storage drawers. 1.8 Wooden conference room consoles and carts shall be constructed of a minimum 3/4" thick MDF core with low pressure laminate. 2) Pre-Engineered Construction 2.1 All models shall consist of easily assembled components of pre-engineered construction. 2.2 Models must be available from a pre-defined set of manufacturers model numbers. 2.3 Models must be in common production for at least two years prior to date of submission. 3) Materials 3.1 Metal cart frames shall be pre-welded and constructed of 14 gauge (.074") formed sheet metal posts and secured by supplied 1/4-20 bolts. 3.2 Sides, doors and shelves for metal carts shall be constructed of 20 gauge (.035") formed sheet metal. 3.3 Conference room consoles shall be constructed of pre-cut 3/4" thick high density core, laminated material. 4) Finish and Color 4.1 Frame steel and sheet metal side panels, doors, shelves, and tops shall have a zinc oxide wash primer with either dove grey or pearl gray baked enamel finish. 4.2 Economy AV Carts shall include chrome plated steel frame posts. 4.3 Conference room consoles shall be laminated in oak with black trim or dove gray with black trim. 5) Optional Accessories 5.1 A full range of optional accessories are available including, but not limited to: 5.2 Four outlet electrical assembly, rubber mat, monitor safety strap, oak pullout shelf, dove gray pullout shelf, oak storage drawer, dove gray storage drawer, and steel pullout drawer. 6) Instructions 6.1 Fully detailed assembly instructions in the English language shall be supplied with both written and pictorial descriptions for each item/model number component. 7) Packaging7.1 Each component part number shall be

independently marked and packed into double ortriple ply corrugated outer cartons and shall besuitable for storage and shipping to site withoutdamage.

8) Warranty8.1 The manufacturer shall provide a written ten year

guarantee against defects of all component parts,material, and workmanship under normal use.
