EXPECTATIONS FOR STUDENTS

Nursing Associate Open Day – Wednesday 18th December 2019 An Information Event For Aspiring Trainee Nursing Associate

A nursing associate is a new member of the nursing team who will provide care and support for patients and service

users, sitting alongside existing healthcare support workers and fully-qualified nurses to deliver hands-on care for

patients.

Nursing associates work with people of all ages and in a variety of settings in health and social care. The role contributes

to the core work of nursing, working with the multi-disciplinary team to deliver quality patient care.

A Little Bit of Christmas Magic

In December 1914 European soldiers had been fighting in the trenches in the

First World War for four months. On Christmas day 1914, the fighting

stopped and soldiers held a truce.

fighting. It is hard to believe that this would happen but because of the magic

of Christmas, German and English soldiers came together, sang carols, shared

food and played football.
