Bracknell Forest Council Children’s Centres “Making a difference every day” The Children’s Centres operate a ‘No Mobile Phone Policy’ Autumn Term 2017 Activity Programme Refreshments are provided at most of our sessions. However, if your child requires a snack whilst in the centre, please provide a healthy one. Most of the sessions are fully funded by the Children’s Centres. Autumn Term 2017 Activity Programme

What’s it all about?Baby Massage4 week course

Learn easy techniques to help you and your baby relax together, to relieve the discomfort of colic, constipation and improve sleep patterns. Cost £10.60 per person. Please contact any Children’s Centre to book a place.

Baby PEEP10 week course

Discover how opportunities you give your baby early on help with their future development. We’ll show you how to support their development with songs, rhymes, a story time and play ideas. Please contact any Children’s Centre to book a place.

Baby Weighing Clinic A drop in session provided by the Health Visitors. You can weigh your baby and health visitors are on hand to give advice.

Breast Feeding Support

A drop in session run by the Breastfeeding Network; providing information and support.

CAB One-to-one Citizens Advice Bureau appointments are available. Please contact any Children’s Centre to book a 45 minute appointment.

Family Play Together Family Messy PlayToddler Time

Drop in play sessions for parents/carers and their children aged under 5 years.An opportunity to meet other parents/carers whilst playing with your children and supporting their development by learning through play.Please bring a change of clothes for family messy play.

Family Soft Play A fun way to help your child with their confidence and physical skills. A chance for children to climb, jump, slide and explore movement.

Fantastic Food Finders6 week course

A fun, interactive course covering hidden sugars and fat finding, meal planning for fussy eaters‎ and healthy lunch box ideas. Each week we will make a new snack for you to enjoy with your family. Please contact any Children’s Centre to book a place.

Freedom Recovery Programme10 week course

The programme helps those who have experienced Domestic Abuse to move on. It offers practical strategies to increase your confidence and self esteem, using your own strengths, resources and coping skills to build health and wellness on a long term basis.

Job Start Advice Help and guidance around returning to work. Help with your CV, courses, interview skills and current job vacancies.

PANDA A drop in support group for the families affected by Postnatal / Antenatal Depression and other perinatal mental health issues.

Pop up Parenting One-to-one advice and support on any parenting related questions. Please contact any Children’s Centre to book an appointment.

Speech and Language Drop In

If you have concerns about your child’s speech and language development please drop into the centre where they can be assessed by a speech and language therapist. Places are on a first come first served basis.

Time out for Dads5 week course

What are dads for?A course looking at the role of the father in meeting children’s needs; it covers parenting styles, understanding your child’s temperament, setting boundaries and positive discipline styles.

Understanding your Baby6 week course

A course for new parents which looks at relationships and feelings, sleep, feeding, crying and baby’s development. Please contact any Children’s Centre to book a place.
