Applicationsbody/chassis

Applicationsengine/gearbox

Modern automotive engineering today is oriented at safety, energy effi ciency and economy. But luxury and driving pleasure should not be neglected in the car design either. As the number of components is growing and their functional complexity increases, high performance materials such as high strength and enduring metals are gaining more and more importance in part de-sign for car manufacturers and their suppliers. By using MIM technology, engineers take advan-tage of a freedom of design that so far was only applicable to plastics. The following lists of materials provide an overview of the MIM materials that are used today in automotive engineering.
