Gas Direct Injection (GDi) is a milestone innovation that has been embraced as an enabler of
next-generation traditional fuel-powered engines with the ability to downsize the engine while
maintaining the same power performance. To meet global emission regulations, leading OEMs
and their suppliers are relying on our Hänggi brand expertise where precision is measured in
microns. Our cold-forming, micro-stamping and micro fine-blanking processes have uniquely
positioned us to form these components with superior dimensional characteristics. The result is
improved quality over competitive processes like MIM (porosity), EDM wire (production rate) and
micro-machining (cost). We have extensive expertise with various metals and advanced alloys in

Clean-Edge® BlankingClean-Edge® Blanking is the process of stamping high-tensile, pre-tempered materials to create a maximum edge condition with minimal shear and controlled breakage. It reduces stress risers on the blanked edge, thus increasing fatigue life. This results in the lowest number of fatigue failure initiation sites, which is essential for long-term, consistent performance of stamped parts. It also minimizes burr occurrences and controls edge condition which are critical for customer requirements.
