1. How do you sense when the generator is running and supplying 230VAC output?
Ans. We may sense Gen set running through KM1 as shown in below given circuit diagram, in DC portion.
2. How do you sense the power company voltage?
Ans. It will be sensed through first R2, R1 then KM1, as show in circuit diagram.
3. Transfer switches specification? Coil voltage?
Ans. Transfer switch will be a magnetic contactor, it draws 40mAcurrent, whose coil voltage will me AC 230 volt.
4. The generator starter circuit can be one of two methods:
a) The switch grounds the starter solenoid, or
b) The switch applies 12V to the solenoid. Which method does your generator use?
Ans. It is the second option that is; it supplies 12V DC to solenoid.
5. How much current does the starter solenoid draw?
Ans. We can Install a relay here to control the solenoid current, as shown in circuit diagram.
6. Does the generator have an automatic choke?
Ans. I dont understand this question?
