■ Auomatic Powder FillingMachine
Auger filling machines for powder
products are designed for proces-sing high-grade, delicate pharma-ceuticals. They are available for single or dual position dosing and, depending on the customer requirements and the machineequipment, they can either be usedas semi-automatic machines for laboratories or integrated into a fullyautomatic machine.
All the machine functions arecontrolled by aprogrammable logiccontrol (PLC) on the basis of „optimum quality at maximumoutput“. The machine is easy tooperate from a central panel. Twentyparameter sets can be configuredand called up for different container sizes, filling quantities and products.Fault messages and materialshortages are indicated on thedisplay in plain text and with a faultcode number.
All the major parts are made of corrosion-resistant materials suchas stainless steel, glass and high-grade plastics, which facilitatethorough cleaning and care.
■ Auger dosing forpowder products
The product is fed from the supply
hopper ➀ to the dosing container ➁
by a single feed scroll or by twinscrolls ➂ controlled by the productlevel in the dosing container. Theselected product amount isdispensed into the container by thevertical auger 4 . The agitators 5
and 6 ensure that the product is fedevenly to the feed scrolls and theauger.
The feed screw, the auger and theproduct agitators are driven byseparate motors, ensuring indepen-dent start times and rotationalspeeds. The machine can thereforebe adjusted to run smoothly with
different powder types.
If a vibratory feed 7 is substitutedfor the feed scroll ➂ residual productis reduced to a minimum and theproduct is transported extremelygently. Product feed comprises onlytwo parts, ensuring simple installa-tion, cleaning and sterilizing.
■ Fully automatic operation
- The container(s) is/are placed
under the filling nozzle(s) - Dosing volumetrically by a predetermined number of auger revolutions, optionally withsubsequent check-weighing anddocumentation of the results or
- gravimetrically by filling the container until thescales stop the revolution of theauger when the required netweight has been reached
- The containers are removed
■ Size change / cleaning themachine
All parts coming into contact withthe product are manufactured from mirror-finished stainless steel, and can bedismantled without the use of tools. Themachines can be reassembled followingcleaning or sterilization, without touchingany of the product contact part
