Toinstalltheprovidedpressureregulator:
a.Locategassupplyforthericecooker.InstallationmustcomplywiththeNationalcodessothereshouldbeashutoffvalveonthegassupplylinetothericecooker.b.Installthesuppliedpressureregulatorattheendoftherearconnectionmanifold.Anarrowonthebodyofthepressureregulatorindicatesthedirectionofthegasflow.Thearrowmustbepointinginthedirectiontothericecooker.Thericecookerwillnotoperateiftheregulatorisimproperlyinstalled.c.Ifrequired,installthesupplysideofthequickdisconnecthose(providedbyothers)totheregulatorperthemanufacturer’sinstructions.d.Check your installation for leaks with an approved leak detector. Besuretouseapprovedmaterialsonthepipethreadstopreventgasleaks.
When appropriate, light the rice cooker and check for proper operation.

Step1.PlacetheRicePotwithriceandwaterintotheOuterJacket.MakesurethattheRicePot islevelandsittingevenlyintheJacket.
Step2:PlacethelidontheRicePotandlighttheburner.Tolighttheburner,referto operatinginstructionsonpage6.Donotopenlidwhilecooking.Whenthecookingis completed,theCOOKbuttonwillpopupandthemainburnerwillautomaticallyshut off.Donotservethericeyet;seeinstructionsonthefollowingpageforcuring.Thepilot keepscookedricehot(about160˚F/71˚C)forfourhours.
Step3:Shutpilotoffbypushinguptheredkeepwarmbutton.SeeShutDowninstructionson page6.
NOTE: The misalignment or improper setting will cause early shut off of the main burner.
SEASONINGTHERICEPOTAnewRicePotshouldbecarefullyseasonedoncebeforeuse.WashriceintheRicePotusingtapwa-ter.Removetherice,leavingonlythe“milky”lookingwaterinthepot.Lightthepilotandinitiatethecookingprocess.Usingordinarywaterforseasoningthepotmaycausediscolorationbutwillnoteffecteithertheunitorcookedrice.
VISUALBURNERCHECKWhenoperating,burnerflameshouldbelightblueincolorandshouldhavenoyellowtipsorliftingfromtheburner.Theair/gasmixtureadjustedbymovingtheairshutterarmundertheunitbelowthemaingasvalve.

RICEPREPARATION
1.Measurericewithmeasuringcupprovided.Thisunitwillcookaminimumof15poundsofdryrice.Uncookedricevolumetriplesaftercooking.2.Determinethequantityofricetobecooked.Themaximumis10fullmeasuringcups,theminimumishalfthatamount.Measurethericeintothepotandwash4or5timeswithfreshwater.Whenwashwaterbecomesalmostclear,stopwashinganddrain.3.Coverthericewith1”water.Atime-honoredalternatemethodistogentlyplaceyourhandontherice.Addenoughwatertoreachthecenterofyourknuckleswhereyourfingersjoinyourhand.4.Coverricepotwithstainlesssteelcoverprovided.Checktobesurethatthepotisproperlyseatedinthecookerbaseandthewaterlevelisofuniformdepthcoveringtherice.Forreallytender,deliciousrice,letricesoakinpotforabout10minutesbeforeignitingmainburner.
RICECOOKINGTIPS
1.Whencookinghalfpotofrice,turngasvalvefullon,andnoteflameonburner.TheturngasvalveslightlytoOFFpositionuntilflameisreducedbyhalf.2.Lengthofcookingtimewillvaryaccordingtotypeofgasused,gaspressuretoburner,andquantityofricebeingcooked.3.Whenmainburnedautomaticallyshutsoff,itisrecommendedthatthericebebrokenupor“turned”usingapotfork.Coverthericeandwait10-15minutesallowingthericeto“cure”beforeserving.Riceinthisunitwillremainhot(about160˚F/71˚C)forfourhours.

Ifyourricecookerisnotworkingautomatically,performthefollowingdiagnostictests:1.Withthepilotlitandanemptyricepotinthecooker,starttheMainBurner.Expecttohearaclickafter3minutesand15seconds.Theclickisthesoundofthesensorreachingshutofftemperature.IftheMainBurnerdoesnotshutoff,refertotheinstructionsbelowon“MainBurnerdoesnotshutoffautomatically.”2.IftheMainBurnershutsoff,thesensorisworking.Pouragallonofwaterintothericepotandlistenfortheclickofthesensorreturningtoitscookingposition.Afterinsuringthepilotislit,starttheMainBurnerandcoverthericepot.Ifthecookershutsoffwithin20minutes,removethecoverandallowthewatertoevaporate.Ifthecookershutsoffafterthewaterhasevaporated,itisworkingnormally.Feelfreetocontactuswithanyquestionsyoumayhaveabouttheoperationofthisricecooker.

PartsandlaborarecoveredforthewarrantyperiodforproperlypackedunitsreturnedtoTownprepaid.Towncannotberesponsibleforshippingdamagestoanyunitreturnedwithimproperpackaging.Partsthathavefailedduetodefectivematerialsorworkmanshipwillbereplacedatnocharge.Unitsrepairedunderwarrantywillbereturnedfreightprepaid.Warrantyforthenewpartswillbefortheremainderoftheorigi-nalwarrantyperiod.
Thiswarrantydoesnotcoveranyfailuresoroperatingdifficultiesduetoaccident,abuse,misuse,alteration,misapplication,improperinstallationorimpropermaintenanceorservice.
Towndoesnotauthorizeanypersonorcompanytoassumeonitsbehalfanyobligationorliabilityincon-nectionwiththisunitinanymatterwhatsoever.
