Casi’s Quest (TAAP of Florida)My name is April Oakes and I am the Founder of “Casi’s Quest” and President of TAAP (The Autism Autoimmunity Project). We started our organization in honor of our 4-year-old autistic daughter, Casi, who passed away on June 13th, 1999. The onlyreason I’m able to breathe today, after losing the most important thing in my life, is because God has made my mission veryclear. We realized Casi was vaccine injured, before we received the “label” of autism. I say labeled, because we believe this iswhat mainstream professionals want us to call these “vaccine injured” children. It implies that their condition is a causeless,cureless, random happening. Autism is 1 in 150 children today and this doesn’t include other vaccine related disorderssuch as ADD and ADHD. We have dedicated the rest of our lives to doing WHATEVER is necessary to help these innocentvictims and to protecting healthy children and children-yet-to-be, from the autism epidemic!!! We are a non-profit charitydedicated to obtaining funding for independent research addressing immune and immunogenetic abnormalities in autism.We feature prominent medical and natural practitioners with the latest and most successful treatment in autism and relateddisorders. We need your help in supporting research leading to a reduction in the number of autism cases and hopefully, put an end to this epidemic.

We are not searching for answers and we support the independent research that proves what we already know! These doctorsare confirming what many parents have witnessed and they are counting on us to fund their research. No one knows ourchildren, better than we do and it’s time to be their voice! We are wiping out a generation, because the welfare of our childrencomes last and profits for a product like vaccines come first. We do not have 40 or 50 years to find answers, because our children are in a race against time. This epidemic is due to an immune insult and it’s impossible to have a genetic epidemic!!

Evidence that autism is an autoimmune disease is extremely strong. Autoimmunity is a state in which the body attacks itself,because it mistakenly interprets its own components as foreign. We have learned that these multi-component vaccines, as well as the single vaccines that are often given together at one time and are injected into our baby’s blood stream, contain many toxins. Vaccines contain ingredients such as Antifreeze, Phenol (used as a disinfectant), Formaldehyde (known as a cancer-causing agent), Aluminum (associated with Alzheimer’s Disease and seizures), Thimerosal (a mercury derivativelinked to brain injury and autoimmune disease), Neomycin and Streptomycin. These vaccines are grown and strainedthrough animal or human tissue, like monkey kidney tissue, chick embryo, dog kidney tissue, calf serum, human diploid cells (the dissected organs of aborted fetuses), pig blood, horse blood and rabbit brain. The problem with animal cells is that during serial passage of the virus, the contaminating animal RNA and DNA can be transferred from one host to another.Undetected animal viruses and genetic material may slip past quality control testing procedures, as in 1955 through 1961with SV40. This stands for simian virus #40, meaning the 40th monkey virus found, which contaminated the polio vaccineand has been linked to cancer. We are led to believe that all these ingredients and genetic material can be injected intoimmature immune systems, with no negative effects!!!

Congressman Dan Burton has held many hearings on the dangers of vaccines, but many parents are clueless. He has two vaccine-injured grandchildren, one of them having the autistic “label.” He has uncovered many instances of federalgovernment health agency officials taking money from or owning stock in pharmaceutical companies. These same peoplewere sitting on government health agency review boards, making decisions concerning vaccines. The only information wehear on TV is that vaccines are safe and effective, meanwhile there is no science proving this! Parents know their childrenbetter than anyone and we, along with independent researchers are producing the science while they are producing smokescreens of opinions rather than solid science. There are currently 200 new vaccines in the pipeline and many will bemandated. No long-term studies have been, or will be, preformed on these vaccines, but we are required to inject them intoour newborn babies. We are basically playing Russian roulette with our children, because the US government health agenciesare more in the business of promoting and regulating vaccines than to be concerned about their safety. One thing we haverealized is that this is a serious conflict of interest!!!!!

We are told our children are not able to attend school without all the mandatory vaccines. This is simply NOT TRUE!! There are exemptions for vaccines in almost every state, which allows our children to get into school. When exemptions are acknowledged by school or health personnel, they are often misrepresented. For example, when it’s said that religious objections must be associated only with certain specified religious groups. This is not only incorrect, but alsounconstitutional! God created us with a perfect immune system! He gave us fever to burn a virus, vomiting and diarrhea to eliminate a virus and we’ve allowed man to teach us to suppress the fever, suppress the vomiting, suppress the diarrhea.Then, we allow man to convince us to surpass God’s defense mechanisms and directly into the bloodstream, inject biologicaltoxins to create immunity. Don’t trust God, trust man and we’re literally allowing man to play the role of God!

In conclusion, we want parents to realize you DO have options and you DO have the right to make an informed choice. The solution to this problem is addressing the cause and not the symptom. There is no money in a cure for autism, but lots of money in treatment. We do not want to create a new industry, we want to address the cause and stop the insanity! I wish someone would have shared this information with me, before I chose to blindly hold my daughter down and allow her to be injected. Since Casi’s passing, life has not been or ever will be the same. Please learn from our mistake and“Educate BEFORE you Vaccinate!!!”

A LETTER FROM THE FOUNDER OF THE AUTISM AUTOIMMUNITY PROJECT

Dear Friends,

The Autism Autoimmunity Project began, as you may know, with an idea I had early in 1998. The Project as a corporate entity was approved by the IRS in October 1998 as a 501 (c) (3) charity for autism research, begun after I had determined that neither government nor private autism organizations were funding substantive immune research. Unfortunately, this is still largely the case, in spite of Congress’ recent appropriation of huge sums for autism biomedical research, the investiture of California’s MIND Institute with major funding, and the existence of at least two multimillion-dollar private autism research organizations. Yet, it is increasingly clear that the regressive autism occurring in such horrifying numbers is an immune-mediated entity based on genetic immune and detoxification frailties.

Our organization of parents and professionals must somehow enable this crucial autism research to be done. Today, theProject’s presence is regularly felt at the highest levels of governmental and scientific endeavor, as members and Project-supported researchers present at gatherings of worldwide importance, and publish in second-to-none scientific venues. Dr. Vijendra Singh was the inspiration for the Project, and I feel that his research of more than twenty years will be the key to obtaining definitive answers for our children with autoimmune indicators. His work, with that of Dr. Andrew Wakefieldand other pioneers, is rewriting the textbook on autism. Currently, Project-supported scientists include Dr. Singh, of Utah StateUniversity, Logan; Dr. James Oleske, of the University of Medicine and Dentistry, New Jersey, and Dr. Andrew Wakefield, of the Royal Free Hospital, London; though other deserving researchers will be considered if funds allow.

As the autism epidemic accelerates, a new vision is taking shape for an Autism Research Center wherein Drs. Singh,Wakefield and Oleske, together with Dr. Harold Buttram and other innovative scientists, will combine their investigativeefforts. As time goes on, I envision that the research projects we fund will not only define the nature of regressive autism, but will lead to new treatments for our children, as well as sound measures for the prevention of autism. We need solutionsnow – not forty to fifty years from now – and those answers will be derived from immunology- and environment-based study,rather than the long-prevailing genetic research. An NIH director just estimated the lifelong cost of caring for a child withautism at $2,000,000! The human cost is immeasurable.

The answers we need are out there. With all of us working together, I am confident they will come to light soon.

Ray Gallup, Founder of the Autism Autoimmunity Project, is an accountant with experience in private industry, non-profit,federal government and higher education settings, now working in public education. Gallup’s sixteen-year-old son, Eric, isfeatured in the book, “Eric’s Story: Autism and the Autoimmune Connection.”

Biography W. John Martin, M.D., Ph.D. founded “The Center for Complex Infectious Diseases” for

investigators to pursue independent studies on the role of viral infection in neuropsychiatricillnesses. CCID subsequently became joined with a 501(c)3 non-profit corporation, MI–Hope(Mental Illness-Hope) to become S3Support (a public charity for scientific, social and spiritualsupport). Dr. Martin was born in Australia, where he obtained MD and Ph.D. degrees from the Universities of Sydney and Melbourne, respectively. He had his initial clinical training in

Sydney, Australia, and subsequently pursued apathology residency in the US, at the National NavalMedical Command, Bethesda, MD. He has alsotrained in research in distinguished institutions in Australia, US and Europe, including the Walterand Eliza Hall Institute of Medical Research in Melbourne, Australia; Harvard University,Cambridge, MA; National Institutes of Health,Bethesda, MD; and University College, London,England. From 1975-1980, he worked on vaccinesafety within the US Food and Drug Administration(FDA). Dr. Martin holds Boards in both Anatomicand Clinical Pathology with subspecialty Boards inMedical Microbiology and in Immunopathogy.

Dr. Martin has identified cell damaging(cytopathic) viruses, for which he coined the term “stealth viruses” in patients with various

neuropsychiatric illnesses, including autism, and attention deficit in children, chronic fatigueand depression in adults and dementia in the elderly. Some of these viruses were originallyderived from the monkeys used to produce live polio virus vaccine, but now pass readilybetween humans and even between humans and domestic pets.These viruses fail to beeffectively unrecognized by the immune system, and unfortunately have also largely escaped theattention of Public Health authorities. Dr. Martin has recently demonstrated that these virusescan induce the formation of energy reactive materials that he has termed “alternative cellularenergy (ACE)-pigments.” The ability of various traditional and non-traditional therapies toregulate the levels and activity of such pigments is an important topic of ongoing research.

Dr. Martin will speak on “The Potential Role of Energy Medicine in Addressing theGrowing Epidemic of Chronic Viral Illnesses.” He will describe his work on stealth viruses and ACE-pigments. He will ask for the participation of members of the audience in anawareness program of the plight of many chronically ill patients in this country.
