What is your story? My story is an adaption of My Little Mermaid. In the story, Ariel argues with her father about he love of human people and how she wishes she was one. In their biggest argument yet, King Triton, Ariel’s father, destroys all of Ariel’s human artefacts in a fit of rage. Heartbroken Ariel, decides to go against everything her father has told her and swims to the surface of the ocean with her best friend Flounder, where they see a ship full of people celebrating human prince, Eric’s birthday. Intrigued, the couple swim closer. Suddenly, a massive storm hits, causing the ship to be destroyed, Ariel spots Eric unconscious drowning so rushes to save him, singing to him in an attempt for him to regain consciousness. It works and as soon as Eric begins to awaken, Ariel swims away just before he realises that she is a mermaid. Realising she has fallen in love with Eric, Ariel vows to find a way for the couple to be together. Word gets out that Ariel and Flounder have visited a human ship and that Ariel has rescued a human man and King Triton is furious. Ariel and her father have another argument, leaving Ariel swimming out of the palace angrily before getting approached by the evil witch Ursula’s evil sidekicks, Flotsam and Jetsam, who offer Ariel a chance to become human for 3 days in an aim to kiss Prince Eric and if she does, she becomes human permanently and if she doesn’t, she remains mermaid forever. Ariel visits Ursula and in exchange for Ariel’s voice, which she traps in a conch necklace, Ursula makes her human for 3 days. Although, Ariel thinks Ursula is doing this out of generosity, she is actually doing it as part of her master plan to take over the underwater kingdom. Ariel swims up to the surface where Prince Eric is casually strolling along the beach where he sees Ariel and presuming she is a survivor of the shipwreck that happened the day before, he rescues her before inviting her to he castle. The pair spend the day together and are about to kiss when they are rudely (and purposely) interrupted by Flotsam and Jetsam. Ursula is infuriated about how the pair nearly kiss so using Ariel’s voice she transforms herself into a beautiful, young women who she names Vanessa. When it time for Ariel to leave, ‘Vanessa’ turns up and serenades Eric using Ariel’s voice before casting a spell on him, making him forget Ariel. The next day, Ariel discovers that Eric and Vanessa are due to wed, Ariel is heartbroken. Ariel’s friend, Scuttle, then overhears a conversation between Ursula and Flotsam and Jetsam where Ursula reveals that she is actually Vanessa. He immediately tells Flounder who tells Ariel who goes after the wedding barge and with the help of his animal friends, Scuttle, disrupts the wedding. In the chaos, the conch necklace containing Ariel’s voice breaks, restoring her voice. At this point, Eric realises that it was in fact Ariel who saved his life that day and rushes to kiss her, but the sunsets and it’s to late and Ariel turns back mermaid. Ursula then kidnaps her and reveals that she is infact Vanessa. King Triton then arrives and demands the release of his daughter offering himself instead, Ursula agrees, realising Ariel before turning her father into a polyp who loses authority of his kingdom. Ursula declares herself as leader but protests form, causing a huge brawl, ending in Ursula accidently killing Flotsam and Jetsam. This makes her very angry and she uses King Tritons trident to make herself gigantic. Meanwhile, Eric and Ariel reunite on the surface and the now gigantic Ursula towers over the couple before taking control of the ocean and creates a storm causing one of Eric’s ships to sink. Ursula then traps Ariel in the maelstrom she used to create the storm, just as she does this, Eric charges at her stabbinf her with the ships splintered bowsprit
