What is Autism Spectrum Disorder?DisorderAutism spectrum disorder (ASD) noun

Definition

A broad term which serves as an umbrella for a group of terms used to define complex disorders of the brain (Autismspeaks.org). Each of these disorders has “autistic-like” symptoms and characteristics and autism is one disorder within the spectrum.
