Erwin Schrödinger, * 1887-08-12 in Erdberg/Vienna, ┼1961-01-04 in Vienna. He was an Austrian theoretical physicist who achieved fame for his contributions to quantum mechanics, especially the Schrödinger equation, for which he received the Nobel Prize in 1933.

 Bruno Kreisky * 1911-01-22 in Vienna, ┼ 1990-07-29 in Vienna. Kreisky was Chancellor of Austria from 1970 to 1983. Mister Kreisky died on July, 29th in 1990.

 Hedwig (Vicki) Baum,*1888-01-24 in Vienna, ┼1960-08-29 in Hollywood/ Los Angeles. She was an Austrian writer. She is known for Menschen im Hotel ("People at a Hotel", 1929), one of her first international successes.

Udo Jürgens,*1934-12-30 in Klagenfurt/ Carinthia , is an Austrian composer and singer of popular music whose career spans over fifty years. He won the Eurovision Song Contest with the song Merci Cheri.

The hairstylist Gottfried Savanjo from Eisenstadt won in Osaka another the first prize for an amazing haircut. It is, he had to change a very modern hairstyle into a classic one.

1968: Olga Pall/ skier. She was the winner at the Olympic Games in Grenable.

1969: Liese Prokop/ athlete. She won in Mexico-City(1968) a silver medal. A world record in the disciplin „pentathlon“.

At the beginning of the 1960s the ÖVP-SPÖ government was working well. In the middle of the 60s the politicians of the afterwar generation (Raab,..) had died, the following generation showed a divided opinion towards the coalition.

1966 the ÖVP got the absolute power. The democrat Josef Klaus became head of the Austrian government. The head of state were Adolf Schärf und Franz Jonas.
