In this picture book there are 20 colorful photos of Australia’s stunning coast from the air. These images, portrayed in dry brush stroke style, were all photographed by pilot Fran West during her historic flight around Australia’s coast.

There are photos of capes, bays, rivers, lighthouses, points and islands.

Photos depicted: Cape Wiles, Blanche Point and Kangaroo Island in South Australia. Useless Loop salt pans, Cape Leeuwin and West Cape Howe in Western Australia. Disaster Bay, Nadgee River and Narooma in New South Wales. Point Nepean, Cape Liptrap and Wilsons Promontory in Victoria. Cape Bedford, Mt Larcom and George Point in Queensland. The Nut, Tasman Island and Schouten Island in Tasmania. Guyuwiri Point and Calvert River in the Northern Territory.

The first sequence is for looking and enjoying. The second sequence is for looking and learning. This time the photos have a word (or words) on them and can be used like flash cards.

Children will enjoy not only looking at the beautiful colored photos but the large text of the word(s) on the photos makes it very easy for learning new words.
