AUSTRALIAN SINGLES REPORT

Despacito (Remix) is the top dog for a third straight week on the Hot 100 as radio continues to lap up Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee’s crossover hit. In at #2 is Liam Payne’s debut solo effort Strip That Down ft. Quavo which cracks the Top 3 from #4, boasting a new peak and a convincing argument for a shot at #1.

All the way from #38 and making its mark in the Top 10 this week is DJ Khaled’s latest cut Wild Thoughts ft. Bryson Tiller and Rihanna. Serviced to radio a fortnight ago, the track has gained serious traction and shows no signs of slowing down any time soon.

Rita Ora’s Your Song garners a Top 10 birth at #9, while Selena Gomez’ Bad Liar and Jonas Blue’s Mama continue to push up the chart at #12 and #13 respectively, both peak positions on the chart.

French Montana has dropped a global certified worldwide hit with Unforgettable ft. Swae Lee of Rae Sremmurd.

Getting its full service to radio this week, Unforgettable is already Montana’s fastest Top 40 riser, currently sitting at new peak #36 on the Hot 100 and #45 on the ARIA Singles Chart. Already internet famous thanks to an eponymous “challenge”, the service should see the track blow up even further at radio and quickly climb the Hot 100 over the coming weeks.

For the second time in three weeks, a David Guetta release is Australia’s Most Added single to radio. After 2U ft. Justin Bieber obliterated the competition upon its release in early June, Guetta has wasted no time hitting back with a smooth remix of Bruno Mars’ third single from 24K Magic, Versace On The Floor.

The track was playlisted by the Hit regional network and both KIIS stations, and was the only song added across the board by the Nova Network. Hit network host Ash London gave the track a particularly strong plug, while also adding it to her nights playlist.

Drake’s new single Signs was added by an impressive 140 stations while the official service of Katy Perry Swish Swish ft. Nicki Minaj also garnered a decent response from radio.

Remaining at #1 on the Hot 100 for Australian artists this week, as well as taking the top spot on the Alternative Hot 100 and #2 on the triple j Hit List, is Peking Duk’s Fake Magic. The collab with AlunaGeorge has been lingering on the alternative charts for the past two weeks and has finally reached #1.

AIR Singles and AIR Radio Play charts are back again in the hands of Bliss N Eso at #1 with their track Moments. The track is also at #7 on the Australian Hot 100. Sia, of course, is still heavily featured as well, especially on the AIR singles chart with five separate tracks.

While Meg Mac has been taken over by Vince Staples’ banger Big Fish on the triple j Hit List, her track Maybe It’s My First Time is doing well on the Hot 100 Alternative and Australian charts at #2 and #7.

The music video, also featuring Swae Lee, has been viewed over 100 million times. French Montana ignited a dance challenge based on the track when he paired up with Travis Scott to showcase his moves on Instagram. Since then a host of stars have taken part in the challenge including Drake and P Diddy, with the sensation spreading globally.

Already his fastest Top 40 riser, the track just received an official RIAA platinum certification and has clocked over 158 million Spotify streams.
