TERMINOLOGIES DEFINITION

GAME Also commonly referred to as Australian rules football, footy, Aussie Rules Is a contact sport in which players can tackle using their hands or use their whole body to obstruct opponents Both the ball and the field of play are oval in shape

Games involve two teams of 22 players with 18 from each team on the field at any one time. The game starts when a siren sounds and a field umpire (referee) bounces the ball in the centre of the ground

GAME Games are divided into four quarters of 20 minutes, plus extra time, and teams swap ends after each quarter The primary aim of the game is to score goals by kicking the ball between the middle two posts of the opposing goal

The winner is the team who has the higher total score at the end of the fourth quarter. Except for special circumstances, if the score is ties then a draw is declared

GAME At each end of the field, there are four posts. Two tall posts in the middle (called goal posts), and two shorter posts on either side (called behind posts) The ball must kicked between the posts to score (there’s no crossbar, you can kick it as high as you like).

Kick the ball between the two middle posts and score 6b points. Kick the ball between the large goal post and the smaller “behind” post and score 1 point.

GAME An Aussie Rules scorecard might look something like this: Essendon FC 10.11 (71) defeated Gold Coast FC 6.8 (44) Essendon scored 10 goals (x6) and 11 points (x 1) so the final score is 60 + 11 = 71

Match Odds – which team will win at the end of regular time only Team A, Team B, or Draw Spread / Handicap - Is an imaginary score with plus (+) or minus (-) sign to even up the chances of two teams of varying abilities winning a match

All bets, except for markets in Finals matches, apply to regular time only and exclude any overtime played. Bets on Finals matches will be settled on the official score including any overtime played, unless otherwise stated in the market info. If a game ends in a tie, dead heat rules apply to bets on match odds markets.

Game Total - predict whether the combined scores of both teams will go Over or Under the nominated total

MARKET BET TYPES BETTING RULES

Winmarket / Outright - A bet that is placed on the winner of a season or tournament championship or title

Bets on postponed matches will be void unless the match is played within 36 hours of the original scheduled start date. a) If the first half has not been completed the match will be settled as a tie and dead heat rules will apply. b) If the first half has been completed then the match will be settled on the official result of the relevant governing body.

All other bets on abandoned or postponed matched will be void except for those on markets that have already been determined.
