Position Description: Stepping Into- Summer 2016/17 Position Title: Economics and Finance Intern Location: Either Melbourne, Sydney, Canberra or Brisbane Position Description: As part of a team, an Intern will be required to undertake research and analytical tasks of both a qualitative and quantitative nature. The work will involve assisting with major projects and may include engaging with stakeholders, data collection and some economic/financial modelling. Interns will be assigned tasks such as: analysing data; undertaking research and reviewing economic literature; drafting sections of reports and other notes; and assisting with administrative tasks. Selection Criteria: 1. An understanding of the aims and functions of the ACCC and AER. 2. Superior research, analytical and conceptual thinking skills; 3. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to: a. Work collaboratively, effectively and efficiently as part of a team; and b. Convey messages clearly and concisely. 4. Openness to continual learning, including being receptive to guidance and feedback. The position is only open for Australian citizens.
