The original Australian are the Aborigines like the -Local Birpai

people.

Aboriginal history in this country goes back over 40,000 years

There were about 300 different Aboriginal tribes and languages

before the British came to Australia.

In 1770 Captain Cook explored Australia for the best harbour and
