CPS Virtual Library - overview
❖ The Chicago Public Schools (CPS) Virtual Library is administered by the CPS Department of Libraries.
❖ The CPS Virtual Library provides eBooks and audiobooks to all CPS students, teachers, and administrators at school and home.
The library has two virtual branches:CPS Virtual Elementary Library CPS Virtual High School Library

Both branches are curated to meet the diverse needs of our students.
The library is conveniently accessible via SOAR, our district's integrated library solution.
❖ Student Collection: 11,876 ebooks
❖ World Languages: 457 ebooks
❖ Professional Collection: 206 ebooks
The collection is aligned with all CPS curriculums and meets Common Core Standards

❖ Reluctant readers benefit greatly because of the simultaneous view selection of books that appeal to them.
❖ Students enjoy using the eBook collection because of it’s ease of use and access.
❖ The catalog can be access through smart phones and tablets. (web browser)
❖ Updated apps are coming soon!
❖ The collection is web based and can be accessed from home!
