While in Brescia:
Franciacorta, home of some of the world’s finest wines. Must try the DOCG Sparkling white wine.
Lake Garda is also near-by. You can take a quick train to Desenzano where you can enjoy lake Garda’s breath taking views.
Brescia is an ancient city which offers much art, culture and historical architecture to visit. You can also enjoy the many shops, clubs and fine dining in the wonderful city squares.
Lake Iseo is very near Brescia. A train from Brescia city center station will get you there in 30 mins. Lake Iseo has the largest inner lake island in Europe, Montisola.
Brescia is home for the world famous historical car race, the «Mille Miglia», and has a dedicated museum.

DAY 1 HANDS-ON SESSION TARGET
All Participants will participate in the following:
- Operating and getting familiar with the
use of the Ultrasound machine;
- Correct positioning, probe handling;
- What to look for with TCD / TCCD;
- Finding the major vessels of the Willis circle
through the 4 acoustic windows, knowledge
of the Depths, velocities, sounds and
anatomical position.

DAY 2 HANDS-ON SESSION TARGET
- Using Brain US for the management of the
most common acute brain injuries
- Cerebrovascular Pressure Autoregulation and
Reactivity, PFO tests, Vessel Patency, during
ECMO.
- Brain Ultrasound for Neuroresuscitation
- Looking inside the Brain: Hydrocephalus,
Mass lesions, Midline shift, etc.
- NCCU visit for US cases, Simulation and more!
