Is summer getting away from you? Have you still not
made it to a Chamber Social event? Well, I have the
perfect one for you!! Sign up in August, and
participate in September for our 3rd Annual Lisle Ale
Fest! We will have over 80 different beers Its fun!
Its fabulous! You will work alongside fellow
Chamber Members and we are expecting 2,000 people
to attend! It will be on Saturday, September 26th. Call Jill at the
Chamber office to sign up. These spaces will go quickly!
You can practice your new-found involvement in the Chamber by
warming up in August at our Multi-Chamber Speed Networking
Luncheon, August 12th, from 11:30 a.m 1:30 pm, at Seven
Bridges. If that date doesnt jive with your busy work calendar,
then practice at our next Business After Hours. Now, these are
quite easy you show up, eat, drink and visit with other members
that come. They are free and always worth your time.
The Membership Appreciation Picnic is a good place to
network and meet different members it will be Thursday August
13th and the chamber office 1111 Burlington Ave Ste.102 in Lisle.
Another fan-favorite and great event to bring your whole family
to is our monthly Cruise Night and Block Party on Main Street.
Our next one is Saturday, August 29th from 6-10 p.m. We shut the
entire street down and bring in fantastic classic cars. There is live
music, a DJ, food, drinks, Hundreds of people from all over come
to these events. It is also a great way to showcase your business by

The Downtown Business Council has hosted the
Cruise Nights this summer with Presenting Sponsors
Evviva Bar & Eatery, Lee Ernst, ReMax, Bill Kay
Chevrolet, Illinois Energy Windows & Siding and John
Dough Bakery. The last 2 months in addition to
classic cars, food, and raffles we added costumed char-
acters and a magician. On August 29th from 6:00 pm
10:00 pm will be country night on Main Street. Coun-
try Line Dance Instructor Estelle Peabody and Country Band Dixie
Crush we be our featured entertainment along with our DJ Dennis
Secara. As seen on Americas Got Talent Those Funny Little People
Billy Bob and Loretta will also be at the event. We will have Lisle Ale
Fest tickets available to purchase at the Lisle Area Chamber of Com-
merce table near the fountain.
The Chicago Red Stars Professional Womans Soccer team is ranked #1
in the NWSL. Christen Press and Lori Chalupny of the 2015 Womans
World Cup Champions have returned to play for the Chicago Red Stars
team. Games are played at Benedictine University Sports Complex.

BUSINESS AFTER HOURS
On July 22, 2015, Business After Hours was hosted
by Williams Chiropractic Center. Dr. Eric Williams
and his staff put together a wonderful event with
great food and drinks. He raffled off an iPad Mini
to his guests. Williams Chiropractic Center offers

Advice, Nutritional Counseling, Massage Therapy,
Spinal & Postural Screenings, Activator Methods

AMBASSADOR SPOTLIGHTANNE CHANG BLAESKE
Anne Chang Blaeske has been an Ambassador since March of this year. This is the
first committee that she has joined. She is the office manager at Insight Property
Services, Inc. and has been a Chamber member for two years. At Insight Property
Services, Inc., Anne is there to do whatever is needed of her. She handles accounts
receivable and makes sure that the inspectors get to where they need to be.
The majority of her career has been in administration, with a main concentration in
real estate. She did step out of the workforce for twelve years to raise her two children prior to starting
with Insight Property Services, Inc. in 2013. She lives in Lisle with her husband, two children, and a
menagerie of pets.
Anne actively participates in the Lisle community and the school district. She is currently serving her
second term on the Lisle District 202 Board of Education. For the last three years she has been in
charge of the luminaries for Lights of Lisle. Also, she is an active Girl Scout leader and had
formerly been a Boy Scout leader.
When asked what she enjoys the most about being an Ambassador, Anne stated that she always
enjoys meeting new people and being active in her community.

AROUND TOWN Lisle Mayor Joe Broda will be having the next Coffee with the Mayor on Tues-
day, August 4th, from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. at the Lisle Village Hall on 925
Burlington Ave. Come discuss topics of interest with the Mayor.
Lisle French Market is now located at Prairie Walk Pond a 4.5 acre recreational area adjacent to
Main Street, The site has walking trails surrounding a 2-acre pond, dramatic colored fountains, a
preserved wetland, gazebo, scenic overlooks, and beautiful native landscaping. Just down the block
is Dragonfly Landing which is a childrens play area which features a fun splash pad with interac-
tive water jets. Located at Route 53 and Garfield. The French Market hours are Saturdays from
8:00 am1:00 pm, MayOctober.
The Morton Arboretums Movie Nights Under the Stars will be showing
Guardians of the Galaxy on Saturday, August 15th. Approximate showtime is 8:00 p.m. Lawn seating opens
at 6:30 p.m. Movie admission is free with
Arboretum admission. There will be refreshments available for purchase. Open lawn seating is available.
You can bring your own blankets and chairs as well as your own

Benedictine University Police Host - National Night Out On Tuesday, August 4, 2015 from 5:00 p.m.8:00 p.m. at Benedictine University which is located
at 5700 College Road, Lisle IL 60532, the Benedictine University Police host the National Night
Out. It is a wonderful event to get to know local, state, and federal law enforcement officers, fire
fighters, and paramedics. They will have good, demonstrations, raffles, kids games, displays of

On Friday, August 28th through Saturday, August 29, 2015 from 6:00
p.m. - 8:00 a.m., the Lisle Park District is holding their 1st Annual Com-
munity Park Campout. It will be an overnight campout in the Community
Park South Shelter which is located off Short Street just west of the Lisle
Police Department adjacent to the pond. It will be a night of family fun
that will include camping, nature walk, smores, games, crafts, and star-
gazing. Register by Friday, August 21, 2015. For more information go to
