Introducing PODD Pageset What Does PODD Stand For? Pragmatic Organized Dynamic Display What Is PODD? PODD was created by speech pathologist Gayle Porter as a way to organize way to organize symbol and whole word vocabulary. It is a form of partner communication facilitated by question asking instead of having the user create novel messages. If you have ever used a low tech picture board and asked questions expecting a response then you have used a form of PODD. You can watch an awesome YouTube video of (almost) 3-year-old Callaghan using a PODD book by clicking Here! As you can see after watching the video, having this same capability for communication, but placing it on our editable T10 device is a huge deal.
