Dear Parishioners, Saint Theresa School will open its doors this week for our twenty-sixth school year. The students and teachers will come to a special Mass on Monday so that we may ask the Lord to send his Spirit upon us for a successful year. Each year we follow the custom of blessing the classrooms, students, and teachers. Please keep our school community in prayer! There are various opportunities for adult formation and education coming up this Fall. I often hear people saying how they wish they were more involved or more connected with other parishioners -- these opportunities are a perfect way to get to know more like-minded Catholics and make new friends. There will be sign ups after Mass this weekend -- and in the weeks ahead. It is still a way off, but our annual parish picnic will be held on Sunday, Sep-tember 29, 2019. Once again, our Knights of Columbus are taking a lead in organizing the food and fun activities. Make plans to join your fellow parishion-ers for plenty of food, fun and fellowship. This Saturday, August 31, 2019, our Office of Youth Ministry will be hosting the first of two Confirmation retreats. Please keep our young people in your pray-ers as they prepare to receive the Gifts of the Holy Spirit. spend about 15 minutes each day reading a scripture passage, meditat-ing on it, and taking it to prayer. Parents desiring Baptism for their child must attend a class, preferably before the child’s birth. The clas-ses are held the first Thursday of each month at 7:30pm in the Louis Martin Conference Room in the Administration Bldg. After you attend the class, you may schedule your child for the Sacrament of Bap-tism (Sundays 1:30pm). Date is confirmed once all paperwork is received in the office. Daily Bread Ministry We are once again delivering bagged lunches of sandwiches, fruit cups… to the shelter in Leesburg.
