Update
Hello, I hope you’ve had a lovely summer and are feeling excited about the academic year ahead. Here’s
another USIR update for you.
Training available
What better way to celebrate the start of the new academic year than by getting some training on open
research and the open research infrastructure we have here at the University? My colleagues and I are
always available to deliver training sessions to meet yours and your colleagues’ needs on the following
subjects:
- Complying with the REF policy on open access
- Depositing your work in USIR
- The benefits of open research
- Managing your research data
- ORCID
- Managing your online profiles and sharing research using social media
We can drop in to existing meetings or deliver bespoke presentations according to your needs. Just send us
an email and we can sort something out. If you have new colleagues starting at the University, do let them
know we’re here to support them too.
It’s been a while since we promoted the Open Research Twitter account in this report. If you’ve not followed
us already, do follow us at @OpenResSalford. We post links to scholarly communications and open research
related things of interest, tweet about research happening here at Salford and talk about what we’re getting
up to here in the Library.
Many thanks,
Steve Carlton
On behalf of the Research Support Team (The Library)
