In August of 2013, Dunbar Elementary students, faculty, and staff raised $265.00 for Muscular Dystrophy research.TRANSCRIPT

What is Muscular Dystrophy?
Muscular Dystrophy is a genetic, progressive, debilitating muscle disease.
It affects movement, breathing, and quality of life.
There are many forms of Muscular Dystrophy.
Muscular Dystrophy affects thousands in the United States alone.
There is no cure, but research is making advances in prevention and treatment.
Dr. Gentry, Ms. Wayne, and Ms. Middleton were “arrested” and taken to jail. Students bailed them out
with the money they raised for Muscular Dystrophy research.
Dunbar Elementary students and faculty who contributed $1.00 toward MD research
were allowed to wear jeans to school on Friday, August 16.
