Need someone to repair your computer or

network, but dont have any real idea how to

    make sure

    they

    wont

    make

    ma ers

    worse?

Five CRITICAL ques ons to ask your computer technician, to guarantee the best repair and safeguard your data, without paying a fortune.

Do you have a business license? Ensure that the company is legal and probably less

likely to be running any sort of scam.

Are you a professional, full me technician? How long have you been in business? Do you have any cer caon? Three ques ons in one, but all designed to ensure the ability and level of professionalism of the engineer. It takes a lot of me and ability, to build suffi cient experience and to make sure that computer knowledge is kept up to date.

What is your pricing structure ? Does the company have a xed price structure or simply bill by the hour. Low hourly rates are no indica on of the nal cost of a re pair. Fixed pricing is the ideal answer, but this is not always possible with complex

repairs. Ideally do your homework and see what the cost of repair is from other

companies (being always careful to com pare oranges with oranges!)

What is your warranty? Is the warranty wri en down or published on a website. Make sure you understand your opons if something goes wrong.

How will you make sure that you dont make ma ers worse? Whenever an engineer works on a computer the likelihood of data loss increases. Studies have shown that more data is lost through human er ror than through equipment failure. Check if the company will back up your computer if needed or unless you speci cally say it is not necessary.

Find out how we stack up and see the answers to many more ques ons.
