The Pursuit of Delight

God is most glorified in us, when we are most satisfied in him.

What is the chief and highest end of man?

Man's chief and highest end is to glorify God, and fully to enjoy him

forever.

Delight Defined

Delighting in God: The desires of your life are being joyfully satisfied in living your life for the glory of God.

Requirements For Delight in God

1) To delight in God requires that you deeply embrace the truth that God exists to be glorified

and enjoyed.

Whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.

1 Cor. 10:31

Requirements For Delight in God

2) To delight in God requires that you deeply embrace the truth that

God is good – all the time.

Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; his love endures forever. (Psalm 118:1)

Taste and see that the Lord is good; blessed is the one who takes refuge in him.

(Psalm 34:8)

Requirements For Delight in God

3) To delight in God requires that you pursue delight – for God is our joy and

delights in our joy.

Delight yourself in the Lord and he will give you the desires of your heart. (Psalm 37:4)

Therefore my heart is glad, and my whole being rejoices... You make known to me the path of life; in your presence there is fullness of joy; at your

right hand are pleasures forevermore.(Psalm 16:9,11)
