Total Receipts here in OK Falls, 230 head. Glen & Pat Johnson

built the fire under our butcher trade here in OK Falls as their

1525 lb butcher cows marked 115.00, their 1715 lb butcher

cows notched 115.75. Bob Lewis had 1645 lb cows trade to

116.50. The Barrington Ranch showcased almost a liner load

of butcher cows, 26 head of 1350 lb butcher cows traded to

110.00. They also had 1900 lb butcher bulls power to 138.50.

Cox Valley Herefords big strong high yielding 1355 lb here-

ford cows also marked 110.00. The PA-VAN Ranch saw their

1285 lb butcher cows trade to 116.00. Their 635 lb x bred s/c’s

met strong action with sales to 225.00. Their 373 lb h/c’s

marked 262.50. Jesse & Dori Watts with a liner load of powerful

yearling heifers, 29 head of their 732 lb black & red heifer’s

traded to 199.25, the 641 lb heifers notched 209.00. A beautiful

pen of their 746 lb Hereford heifers powered to 192.75. Patty &

Randy Campbell’s 1000 lb steers sold to 180.00. Hazel,

Wayne & Steve Pendergraft’s 923 lb steers reached 204.50,

their 755 lb angus heifers hit 207.25. Mike Townley’s 790 lb

heifers reached 200.00. L&R Holdings 648 lb black s/c’s hit

KAMLOOPS SALE—TUESDAY AUGUST 19

Another powerful exciting sale here in Kamloops as just under

700 head of cattle hit the sale r ing. Haley Rutherford put

the fire under the butcher trade with butcher bulls to 142.75.

Bob & Ruth Black from Barr iere had 1785 lb butcher bulls

mark 144.00. The Ashcroft Ranch saw their 1910 lb butcher

bulls mark 144.25. Tim Heatwole from McBride put a top on

our butcher cow trade with 1493 lb cows marking 118.75. Year-

lings were strong today. Bill & Janice Colvin had 847 lb black

angus steers trade to 216.00. Ken & Linda Allison saw their 885

lb red and black angus steers trade to 213.50, their pen of 979 lb

steers raced to 188.75. The DeLeeuw Ranch today showcased 3

liner loads of top quality yearlings. The 1st linder load of 991 lb

black angus steers marked 197.75. The second load of 1003 lb

steers notched 198.25. The 3rd load of steers weighing the same

powered to 197.75. Ingram Creek Farms 1080 lb black maine

steers reached 194.50. Larry & Holly Campbell of Buse Creek

Ranch saw their 868 lb spay heifers reach 205.00, the 972 lb

heifers brought 195.50, their 883 lb steers rolled to 212.25.

Brad Hawryluk’s 970 lb heifers sold to 194.00. Bill Stirling

of Knutsford had a load of 859 lb heifers roll to 206.50.

Leonard Demarchi’s 959 lb steers hit 203.00. Neville &

Louise Smith from Lumby had 740 lb angus heifers trade to

207.50. Ken MacDougall had 941 lb steers trade to 204.75.

Wendell Stoltzfus from Merr itt had 758 lb steers notch

226.00. This week Yvonne Johnson from Mara with 518 lb s/c’s

marking 242.50.

Get ready for next week, it should be incredible. Kamloops

already has 700 yearlings, 100 butcher cows and 50 calves

listed. This will be a good one, August 26th Sale.

222.50. Jen Hutcheon’s 735 lb steers hit 218.00. Arno Grim’s

853 lb tan steers brought 213.00. The Next Sale here in OK

Falls is Monday September 8, 2014.
