1 Introduction

This covers loading a program using a LAN connection. The procedure is the same for a

RS232 connection, except select RS232 when creating a connection type.

2 Create Connection

Start Crestron Toolbox

Open Tools/Manage Address Book

Press F3 to create a new entry and give it a obvious name “CP2E – RS232”

Select “Connection Type” = RS232, select the com port you’re using on your computer.

Set Baud to Auto, Parity=none, data bits eight, stop bits one and device type Auto.

Press OK

3 Connect To Processor

Select Tools/System Info

In the bottom left of the dialogue window that appears select the “CP2E – RS232”

4 Locate Program Information

Locate the “Program” section and click the small right pointing arrow.

5 Retrieve and send program

Retrieve the file that is currently in the processor and save it in a safe place. This is only

required if you don’t have the previous version to re-load should there be an issue with the

new program.

Browse to the location of the “file name.spz” you wish to load into the processor and press

the send button. Close the dialogue box once the send is complete.
