Target Audience

My target audience will most likely be females aged 16-20,

this is because the main performer in the music video fits

into this demographic and so this target audience will relate

to her. Also this is the target demographic for artists who are

similar to the artist of my music video, for example

Benjamin Francis Leftwich whose album art influenced my

own. My target demographic will also most likely be white

British again because of the performers in the music video

and also because the artists of the music are also white

British. I also did research into similar artists and their target

audiences to ensure that I had identified the correct target

audience for my music video.

Target Audience

• I looked up artists who were similar to Scarlett Parade on Amazon which then gave me other artists who the target audience have been known to like. This will help me to fully identify my target audience as I can research into the target audiences of these similar artists. These artists include Ben Howard, James Vincent and Marcus Foster. The target audience for my music video will be similar to the target audiences for these artist and the main target audience for these artists are girls aged 16-20 who are well educated and are interested in independent music and film.

Target Audience

• My target audience will most likely shop in high street retail shops such as Topshop. I found this by looking at the fashion in shops such as Topshop and found that there are items which are similar to that of the costume that the female wears in the music video and so girls who are interested in this type of fashion will relate more to the female in the music video. The tribal identity of my target audience would most likely be Hipster who is a person who follows the latest trends and fashions, especially those regarded as being outside the cultural mainstream which my music video and artist are.

Target Audience

• My target audience will be local to Norwich as the music video was shot in Norwich and so all of the locations used are recognisable to people who live in or frequently visit Norwich. The social class of my target audience probably be between B and C1. This is because of the genre of the music and the locations used. The genre of this song is Indie-Rock which will appeal to the target audience as it is currently a very popular genre. Artists such as Ed Sheeran and John Legend have popularised this genre and made it accessible to the masses.
